Kimberly Orsini - Biography

About the Artist

Kim Orsini, Artist and Ceramicist, Beeswax Creek Studio

Art and Art Ceramics Celebrating the Beauty of God's Creation

Kim Orsini created and loved art from an early age.  Graphite portraits of people and family pets are still in her collections.  As an adult, her love for basketry and fiber arts led her back into more serious sketching and painting in the 1980’s, and her passion for wildlife focused her interests.  Kim was mentored by artist Gail Dyess who studied with the great Robert Bateman.  This instruction continues to influence her style.  Introduced to clay and ceramic arts later, Kim found a new sub strait upon which to express her creativity and apply nature art in a different and unique way.  Never stop learning is her theme, and honoring Our Supreme Creator is her daily practice.

Living at Beeswax Creek near Birmingham, Alabama, Kim is surrounded by deep woods, a wide bird filled estuary and amazing raptors.  She is inspired continually to capture the magnificence of these creatures and the natural surroundings she enjoys.  Kim also teaches fiber arts and other classes to small groups through her local arts council.
